Title: There's something dolly about her

The wave of hot doll like models and celebrities have captured the attention of hot blooded males and young girls who are obssessed with looking like them. And it's not just an Asian thingy, it's a world wide craze!

It's the dolly craze right now and I believe it all started with Japanese manga.

The big doll eyes, thick long lashes, the thin nose, small lips, pointy chins and crazy long hair are the 'in' look right now in Asia.

In Japan, it's called the 'Gyaru' doll look.

I've noticed Chinese models/celebrities whose facial features are eerily similar - they look like carbon copies of each other!

It's amazing how the 'Gyaru' doll look has caught on like wildfire! The ladies above symbolises the sex bomb Gyaru doll.

Makeup can do wonders. The two pictures below is of model Wang Xinyi. Can you tell they are the same person?

Her eyes are much larger in the first picture. Amazing isn't it? You can tell that in both pictures, she is using circle lenses and falsies. I don't think its makeup that caused the difference. I believe it's either plastic surgery or photoshop.

Remember the old news of Wang Jiayun? Here's the photoshopped her:

And the real her:

And to further show you how crazy some girls will be...here's Ukranian model Valeria Lukyanova who underwent surgery to look like a doll:

On Youtube, VenusAngelic and Dakota Rose teaches girls how to apply makeup that will make them look like dolls.

Looks like this trend will not go away anytime soon! Here's a picture of my all time fave real life doll, Angelababy:

And how can I forget Singapore's very own living doll, Dawn Yang? Who was made famous because of her plastic surgery doll like looks?

So the Gyaru doll look trend continues and who knows when it'll eventually stop?

Title: RIP

Fat Boy

Baby

Guinea pigs are fragile creatures. Physically and emotionally. Fat Boy passed away on Thursday and ever since then, Baby refused to eat or drink. I brought him to the vet first thing this morning and the vet could find no symptoms of what could be wrong with him.

We found out that he had tried to eat but the food didn't go down and he had just left the food in his mouth. Although he was weak from low energy levels, he was still able to respond. With the medication in hand, I left the vet to visit the pet shop nearby before going home.

Shortly after, he convulsed and I knew something was wrong. I ran back to the vet and they tried to help him but he passed away.

My poor babies... they couldn't live without each other.

It is a sad week for me. I've had guinea pigs for 6 years. Fat Boy was 4 years old and Baby was only 5 months old.

Thankfully, Bel was with me through this whole ordeal.

Title: By the river Piedra i sat down and wept

Was waiting for the bf to come pick me for BBQ yesterday and decided to toy with my camera. Can somebody please tell me why I always get the 'white face' syndrome as if my powder is too light for my skin tone? I can assure you, in person, I don't get such a difference.

My photoshop skills isn't fantastic and I can't even out the neck and face tone to be the same. Grrr....

Anyway, a huge fan of Paulo Coehlo, I read "By the River Piedra I sat down and Wept". Hellava great book!

It touched my heart. Like all of his books do. Reminded me of the past which has been buried for quite some time already, like a bittersweet tale...

Like the female lead, I followed my heart and followed the voice of God but she had a happy ending. I guess I did obtain happiness...just that the ending is not an ending and completely what I didn't expect. Lol...Life is full of twists and turns, out of the box surprises!

Don't be afraid of living, falling in love, doing things your way. Don't listen to anyone but God. Your life is yours not anyone else's. The choices you make, the decisions you choose should be yours completely. If you follow, you're bound to regret one day.

Title: sentosa sentosa!

These were taken a while back but I just had no time to post them. This group shoot was pretty memorable because I got some really nice pictures.

What do you think?

I've also gotten approached by a website featuring hot Singapore girls. ;) Once my profile is up, I'll put up the link and you can vote, my dear friends, if you think I've got what it takes haha...

Title: the problem with instagram

Love it. Hate it. It's a wonderous invention but it hangs so often that it makes me wana throw my iphone against the wall in frustration! >.<

And somehow, even though it's more handy to take pictures with my phone, I still prefer the quality and how I look using my trusty Canon.

So no matter how much more mafan it is uploading pictures from my camera esp to FB, it doesn't bother me. Btw, can you tell the difference amongst the three? Which is an Instagram and which is a Canon?

Title: companionship

Gave Maya and Hal their first taste of KPO and introduced them to baby. Then, it was off to Cafe Iguana for some refreshing Margherita! ;)

It was a wonderful catch up session and I hope we can do it more often. There was this easy going camarederie amongst us and the flow of conversation never wavered.

Title: Copper is the color of my hair

Ok...Hit or miss peeps?

Some of my friends say the hair colour is too bright but others say it's gorgeous. I'm crossing my fingers the colour will fade soon because honestly, it's a little too loud for my personality.

I did my hair in curls after I had my hair colored and woah! It attracted a whole lot of stares... I'm wondering if it's positive or not.

For inspiration on how to carry off the copper hair look, I turned to my trustie Hinano! She does it heaps better than I do though. I think styling is really necessary with superbly bright hair colors because it is so dramatic.

It was wash and go for me this morning when I took the above pic. Minimal makeup and no colours on my face, maybe that's why I looked rather washed out.
